Our braided paracord reins have been designed with you and your horse's well-being in mind, offering a unique break-away feature to help prevent accidents.
Entanglement or being caught and dragged by traditional reins is a serious issue that can have very dangerous (and sometimes fatal) consequences. The Beaux Break-Away Buckle allows the reins to break open in an emergency and can be reassembled to use again. It is made from genuine Biothane and strong metal components to ensure longevity and durability.
Each pair of reins now comes with an extra break-away buckle as standard. Having a spare can be especially useful in case the included buckle becomes damaged or unusable due to a spook, bolt, or other horse related incident.

If you would like to choose which colour you want for the braided reinforcement sections (by the clips and the break-away buckle, please add a note at checkout. Otherwise I will use my judgement to decide which colour out of the 2 chosen looks the best for you.

Break-away reins should be long enough for the buckle to sit to one side when riding, to prevent pressure on the mechanism. If unsure, feel free to message me.*

A review from our first time trying our new reins….As it was raining I can happily say they are non slip….and long enough to still have some semblance of control when Stan stops to sniff a poo in the road! Also I was very pleased that the clips stayed done up when he had his obligatory head rub on the gate…. which our old ones didn’t always. 🥴
So it’s a 10/10 for us-They are beautifully made, look great and it’s nice to have something a bit different, and also to support a small business.
I have used these for 3 months non stop, on highly strung and strong horses. Iv never been so secure with a pair of reigns, absolutely no slipping, when Iv come off they broke away first time. Having a connective tissue disorder my hands are weak, these are thin enough to fit perfectly in my hands and I can really grip to hold my horses to the fences, out xc and hacking. 1000% recommend
